Invention: Sound of Rumors Soundtrack
by Adam HammermanWe’re all spreading rumors about the new invention. Lucia whispers to Laetitia that it’s going to involve an international colouring contest on the moon. Trish doesn’t believe it, but if it’s true, hopes that they’ll colour her in. Mai tells Nick that her strawberry Mac reads Queneau over her shoulder and is sad when Mai’s not at home. Helen heard from Betty who heard from Dot that the invention is like an imaginary trend. Raymond’s advertising it as a fast-acting nano-agent that will filter out undesirable memories. Clara’s motioning that the invention is sure to get appropriated by Lothar and the Hand People. Fillipo is developing a manifesto in which he declares the invention will murder the moonshine. Wim hints to Holger that it’s a machine that lets you watch your dreams from the night before. Markus says it’s only a glitch reframed. Bob, the fading captain, thinks it’ll be a new breed of science that’s informed by rock and roll. Rod thinks it’s going to be a whole new world. Whatever it is, Brian hopes the inventors have considered its impact on the very distant future, on in which MP3 file sharing will be a relic of the past.
