Did you know that you can drive 8,000 miles without reaching the end of a continent? It’s hard to find a place, but if you start in London and end in Mongolia, it’s a piece of cake.

Or so claim Team Ramrod (Patrick Tewson and Justin Wood), who will embark on the odyssey later on this summer, as part of the Mongol Rally. Here is their blog, where you can find out about the charities and how to donate to this bizarre cause.

In addition, you can show up at Cafe Allegro in the U-District on Thursday night for some music, prizes, and an auction. Contributing the suggested donation “may” get you discounts at the bar, they say. I’m not sure what the auction/raffle will entail, but I do know that the music is guaranteed to be boisterous, funny, and insightful.
