Hot young author Marisha Pessl will read from her debut literary mystery novel at the Ballard branch of Seattle Public Library from 5 to 6 p.m., and evidence indicates you’ll want to show up on time for a seat. As of Friday afternoon, 280 Seattleites were on the library’s waiting list to borrow the book. Guess the $25.95 cover price is just too steep to risk on a first-timer.
