Umbrellas, Anyone?
Posted by Ali MarcusWell, folks, Bumbershoot is back in full swing. Labor Day weekend brings hordes of young’uns into Seattle Center for some indie rock, local talent, film dance poetry comedy funnel cake madness. The lucky ones can hear echoes of the music bouncing off the concrete walls of their neighborhood street corner. The luckier ones, of course, are ticketholders who bring with them a lot of water and sunscreen. Some bands that Rivet loves are in town - most notably, Spoon, plays today, who made our Top Five of 05 list.
There’s something for everybody here, and even though everyone complains about the ticket prices, $30 just ain’t that steep for the amount of music around. Have a party, pretend you’re in high school again, except you’re allowed in the beer garden.
