Last night’s art auction was a hit! The walls of Crawl Space were packed with lovely pieces, most of which ended up in the hands of lucky, charitable art-lovers by the end of the night. Thank you to everybody who made it out to the event, and to everybody who helped to spread the word. As far as fundraisers go, this one was quite successful. Here is a photo from the live auction segment:

 It’s a small photo indeed, but simply concoct a pack of bidders just outside the frame of the picture and let your imagination run with it.

My favorite memory: the round of applause / sigh of relief that followed every item in the live auction. Some folks think “Phew! Thank GOD someone outbid me!” and others, “Great! This will look lovely above the fireplace.” Even from outside the room, it’s a palpable release of tension. All in different directions.
