1. Who is your biggest artistic inspiration?
Too many to say one, so for today I’ll say Russian filmmaker Andre Tarkovsky for his single black and white shots that lasted minutes.
2. What came first, the chicken or the egg?
The egg; the question never specifies “chicken egg,” and eggs were on this planet way before chickens.
3. Favorite Seattle bookstore?
Elliott Bay Book Company, Left Bank Books, Powell’s online.
4. Where is the best place to view art in Seattle?
Train cars, industrial neighborhoods, Souvenir in Ballard, Kobo at Higo, Garde Rail, studios in pioneer square, Sev Shoon, Youngstown.
5. If you could hang with any famous artist, who would it be and why?
Morris Graves for tea in a zen garden. Because I esteem to watch him paint a bird.
6. Who are you more like: Calvin or Hobbes?
Hobbes; my Chinese birth year was Tiger.
