If there’s one major thing I’ve learned from making a magazine, it’s that magazines aren’t precious, they’re flawed. And despite our determination to eliminate errors from RIVET, we still fuck things up sometimes. And every time I want to punch myself in the head.
Sometimes our fuck-ups are especially sucky. Our latest glitch failed to credit illustrator Margaret Trotter for her utterly awesome artwork on page 35 of The Fake Issue. Margaret has been working with RIVET for quite some time now and is among the excellent artists who inspired us to get more color into the magazine way back when. We are fortunate to publish her work — and terribly sorry for not crediting her.
I’m sorry, Margaret! Mea culpa!
(Sorry, too, to Dawn Cerny who somehow wound up with the credit…)
